All Travel Club members must turn in their Quebec forms to Mrs. Robson ASAP, without these signed forms you may not go on the trip.

TECHNOLOGY
The Tech Lab will be open at 7:00am Thursday morning this week.

SPACE CAMP
Raffle tickets for an 8 gig i-Pod nano are available for sale through Mr. Carkin and Mrs. Brown.

MATH AWARDS
In preparation for the upcoming Math Awards on May 20, we are asking for 2 to 3 parent volunteers to help with the set up at 6pm and clean up following.  If you can help, please contact Laura Ramage either by email (chllc@suscom-maine.net) or telephone (615-3257).

FMS Library is having a Favorite Childhood Book Contest
Here’s your chance win a $10 gift card donated by Brunswick Bookland.
We asked 20 members of the FMS staff to name a memorable or favorite book from childhood.
To win the contest, you must identify the favorite childhood book for each of the teachers listed.
Please ask politely and don’t interrupt.  
Entry forms available in the library or on the FMS Library website.
The winner will be selected from those entries that have the most correct answers.      
Entries close May 21 at noon.

ATHLETICS
        The high school athletic department will be organizing its annual athletic orientation evening designed specifically for eighth grade athletes and their parents. It is our attempt to clarify and facilitate a smooth transition from the demands and expectations of middle school athletics to the demands and expectations of high school athletics.

TEEN CENTER
Attention 7th & 8th graders. The PORT teen center is open every Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday from 2:30 – 6 pm. Thursday from 2:30 – 7 pm and Friday from 2:30 – 8 pm.  Bus #20 will drop students off at the teen center, however you must have a note from home in order to take Bus #20.   The Teen Center is a great spot to do homework, shoot pool, challenge someone to a game of fuse ball, play video games, take a creative class they offer.  It is a great spot to be after school!  For questions call the directory Katie West at 865-6171 x 29.
DAYS OF WEEK PROGRAM—The PORT’s Days of Week Program has begun.  It is open to 7th-12th grade.
The Days of Week Program include:
Movie Monday
Tournament Tuesdays
Worhol Wednesdays (a new arts & craft project every week!)
Thursday Tunes (music!!)
Food Friday (we will be making food every week)

BLACK and WHITE THEMED DANCE
On May 17th of 2008, the Teen Center is sponsoring a Black and White themed dance at the Teen Center. In order to defray costs there is an admission fee of 3 dollars if you buy a ticket ahead of time and 5 dollars at the door. The downstairs will be open from 6-7 and the dance is upstairs from 7-9. FMS rules apply. Refreshments will be sold. People attending will be expected to wear black and white clothing. However, this does not mean formal wear. Anyone who wears a color other than black or white will have to wear a white t-shirt provided at the dance. Tickets can be purchased from Brittany Moon, Alix Rogers, Katie Turner, Mia Thomas, Laura Ramage, and Mrs. Damone.

EARLY RELEASE DAY
Looking for somewhere to hang during the _ day?
The PORT, Freeport Teen Center, would like to invite 7th and 8th grade MS students to come to the PORT on May 20th, after _ day dismissal. Students can take bus 20 to the PORT or walk and get some exercise! The PORT will have snacks available and activities for all. Come for part of the day or the whole afternoon.
