STUDENT GOVERNMENT NEWS
Elections for this year’s student government will be held on Wednesday, October 1.
The student government’s role is to represent and support the student body and give them a voice in important school decisions, to plan and organize special events and projects and promote school spirit.
We’ll be electing three senators and seven representatives from each grade. If you would like to run for a student government office, see Mr. Mason for a nomination form. All nomination forms must be completed and back to Mr. Mason by September 24th.
DRAMA CLUB NEWS
Attention all aspiring actors, actresses, playwrites, stagehands, costumers and makeup artists! The Freeport Middle School Drama Club needs you. Whether you want to perform, build sets, design sound and lighting, or create costumes the Drama Club has a spot open for you. See Mr. Mason for more details and to pick up audition dates and times.
This year the Drama Club will be producing the Murder Mystery dinner theater and for the first time, sixth and seventh graders are welcome to audition. Once again, see Mr. Mason for details.
FPS, DEBATE or SPEECH
Interested in either Future Problem Solving, Debate, or Speech? Join Mrs. Gamache on Wednesday during your advisory and/or after school on Wednesday to find out more about each of these programs. Mrs. Gamache's room is 135, across from the computer lab.
LIBRARY
The library is looking for helpful and responsible students to work in the library! Applications are available in the library. Please see Ms. Hall-Riddle or Mrs. Bushby. Applications are due this Friday, September 12th, at 8:00 a.m.
YEARBOOK
We have 2007-08 and 2006-07 yearbooks for sale for the low price of $5.00. Please see Mrs. Bushby in the library. Buy one before they are gone!
REMINDER
Please complete and return all applicable forms, which were sent in your child’s class schedule packet in August.
