7TH & 8TH GRADE DISTRICT HONORS FESTIVAL
The students gave a fantastic concert and represented Freeport admirably.
FUTURE PROBLEM SOLVERS
Congratulations to the FMS Future Problem Solving Team! At the FPS State Bowl Saturday, they came in first in the junior division in the skits and the FPS booklet. They are now invited to represent Maine at the FPS International Conference at Michigan State University May 28 – June 1st. The team members are:
Eli Pier, Emma Egan, Fiona Harbert and Molly Brown.

SCHOLASTIC BOOK FAIR

Wednesday April 9~from 9:30 am - 2:30 pm is Teacher Preview – a special day for staff only,
light refreshments will be available.

The book fair will be open during the school social and during parent teacher conferences, light refreshments will be available.
TEEN CENTER
Attention 7th & 8th graders. The PORT teen center is open every Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday from 2:30 – 6 pm. Thursday from 2:30 – 7 pm and Friday from 2:30 – 8 pm. Bus #20 will drop students off at the teen center, however you must have a note from home in order to take Bus #20. The Teen Center is a great spot to do homework, shoot pool, challenge someone to a game of fuse ball, play video games, take a creative class they offer. It is a great spot to be after school! DAYS OF WEEK PROGRAM—The PORT’s Days of Week Program has begun. It is open to 7th-12th grade.
The Days of Week Program include:
Movie Monday
Tournament Tuesdays
Worhol Wednesdays (a new arts & craft project every week!)
Thursday Tunes (music!!)
Food Friday (we will be making food every week)
FREEPORT PERFORMING ARTS BOOSTERS
The Freeport Performing Arts Boosters is accepting applications for scholarships. ~Students must submit the application no later than May 8, 2008. ~The scholarship committee will be reviewing the applications on Friday, May 9th. ~High school recipients will be awarded their scholarships during Freeport Performing Arts Award Ceremony, scheduled for May 27th. ~Middle school recipients will receive their scholarships during the end of the year award ceremony. ~Applications are available from the guidance offices, the performing arts teachers and can also be obtained from the FPAB website:~ www.freeportpab.org. ~~Please contact Nathalie Forster if you have any questions.~
