YEARBOOK
Yearbook Cover Art Contest!
We are looking for this year's yearbook cover design. Designs are due to Mrs. Bushby in the Library by October 31st! Drawings must be in pencil or black ink, on 8 1/2 x 11 paper. The cover is printed in school colors.

SPACE CAMP
Sixth graders interested in going on the 2009 Space Camp & Alabama Adventure should be working on their applications. The applications need to be passed in to Mrs. Brown or Mr. Carkin by the end of the month.
MURDER MYSTERY DINNER THEATRE
Get your tickets now for the Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre on November 7th at 6:00pm. See Mrs. Robson or Mrs. Davis for more information or to purchase tickets. You don't want to miss this thrilling night of mystery where you can solve the murder and bring the villain to justice!
SOCIAL
Parents who would like to donate refreshments for this Friday's social can let Kim Burke know what they will be donating by leaving a message at 865-6801 or dandy815@suscom-maine.net. Items needed include: bottled water, juice (big bottles are fine, we have cups), or healthy snacks (popcorn balls, healthy type cakes and cookies, rice krispie squares, 100-calorie pack snacks, apples).~ Refreshments, including pizza from Bella's, are sold at the dance as part of the PTC fundraising.~ Thank you for your support.

Chaperones are still needed for the social.
ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION GROUP
Beginning next Tuesday 10/28, there will be an organizational meeting after school for all 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students interested in joining the "School EP" (Environmental Protection) group. Interested students should take the bus to the high school, where Makai McClintock, a 9th grade student at FHS, will be able to meet with them and begin discussion regarding possible projects and "endeavors" for the year.

MAINE COLLEGE OF ART
If you are interested in discount scholarship rates to Saturday Art classes at Maine College of Art, there is a special program for students from grades 7-12. Please see Ms. Gosselin for the forms.
SKI SWAP
Saturday November 1,2008 9am-12pm in the Middle School Cafeteria. Used alpine and nordic skis, boots and poles, helmets, winter outerwear, figure & hockey skates and more will be available for sale. Prices should be very reasonable. If you have equipment to sell or donate please bring it to the Middle School on November 1st between 7am and 8:30am. The Ski Swap supports both the Middle School and High School Nordic and Alpine Ski Teams.
